Job Searching

Job searching can be hard but as long as you organised it should be a breeze! We dont need to tell you to keep an eye on the paper that ones pretty obvious, but there are other things you can do to keep track of your job applications.

Keep Positive

The reality of it is you are not going to get every job you apply for. It is important, however, if you do get knocked back that you stay positive! Generally employers dont want negative employees so make sure that you aren't negative! If you havent got a job you applied for that you orginally wanted just remember their are plenty more out there, you just need to find them!

Agencies

Recruitment Agencies look after jobs for employers that have requested their services. They have a database full of job seekers CVs as well as information on employers who are looking for new recruits. Recruitment Agencies deal with temporary, permanent, contract and part time vacancies. It is always a good idea to register with an agency if you are looking for work. They may have positions available that have not been advertised in the newspaper. Make sure you dont go over board ad register with too many though, you could be flooded with telephone calls and again could loose touch o your job search. We recommend you register with a maximum of 3, see how you get on for a month or so and then if your not happy consider a different agency.

Keep Notes

If you're applying for jobs make sure you keep track of where you are making applications. Its easy to apply for lots of jobs and then loose track of what you've applied for. If employers contact you and you dont know what you applied for it doesnt look good.

Been declined

If you've been declined for a job after an interview try and find out why. Its not always the nicest question to ask but if your interviewer can give you some insight into where you went wrong you can use it to advantage next time!
